Well, we tried the typical glade spay and it works just fine. For a few minutes. We have our pet dog around and after a few minutes we can smell the dog again. The dog is clean and washed but we can still smell him a few minutes after spraying around Glade.

Next up we tried Febreze. This stuff smells good and it lasts longer than Glade. But it wasn’t effective to get rid of the odor. It covered up well but if you have company over, keep it on hand because after a short time the pet odor will come back and you will find yourself spraying it around again.

Lastly we tried out something we saw on TV which was being pitched by the late Billy Mays. The name of this product is What Odor? Yeah, that’s the name, it comes in your regular size spray bottle and one that is more compact. We used this on our furniture, drapes and the dog potty area. We were surprised to see it did a good job at dealing with the odor. We have a small area of carpet and it also did well to remove the dog smell from it. It lasted a lot longer than what Febreze or Glade lasted.

It is cheap, it costs $19.99 and when we ordered we got an extra set free, so we ended up with 2 regular size bottles and 2 compact size bottles. Our verdict after trying out these 3 spays is that What Odor? is the best pet odor removal product out there. We think it’s also priced decently. Sure, it costs a bit more than what Febreze or Glade costs but the effectiveness and the amount of time it lasts is worth it.
